AEG Vision in Spring, TX is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and ensure a high-quality patient experience.

You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help with scheduling and medical documentation in EHR. HIPAA compliance and patient communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient PC skills including MS Office, Windows, and word processing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topical medications, diagnostic tests).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing as needed.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR with HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatments.
• Perform end-of-day duties and ensure schedule utilization.
• May assist as a scribe or perform refractions as needed.
