The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping (HIPAA), coordination of referrals, and patient education. Candidates should have experience with eye exams, strong attention to detail, and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing medications.
• Familiar with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Certified: CPO, CPOA, CPOT.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficient in MS Office and Windows; good documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with colleagues and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures and assist with diagnostics.
• Schedule and manage doctor appointments for patients.
• Maintain patient records in EHR and HIPAA compliance.
• Answer patient inquiries and provide education as needed.
