Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and deliver high-quality patient care onsite. You will conduct pre-exam evaluations, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure efficient visits.

Responsibilities include performing initial patient assessments, recording findings in the EHR, scheduling referrals, and assisting with contact lens procedures. Candidates should have eye-care experience and certification, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye care.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).
• High School or GED diploma.
• Strong attention to detail; able to work under pressure.
• PC skills: MS Office, Windows.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-exam evaluations and assist with specialty testing.
• Schedule appointments and manage doctor’s calendar.
• Maintain patient records in EHR; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Answer patient inquiries and coordinate referrals.
• Assist with contact lens classes and inventory.
• End-of-day prep and clinic organization.
