Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors with pre-testing, diagnostic testing, and patient education on site. You will manage the appointment schedule, assist with exams, and help ensure a smooth, high-quality patient experience.

Ideal candidates have experience with eye exam workflows, familiarity with eye care terminology, and relevant certifications. On-site role with comprehensive benefits and opportunity for growth within the practice.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist and assist with testing.
• Schedule referral appointments and manage medical documentation.
• Maintain patient records (HIPAA compliance) and support front-desk tasks.
• Assist with diagnostic testing using equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Retinal Camera).
• Contribute to a clean, organized practice environment on site.
