Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to join our team and support optometrists in delivering exceptional patient care. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience.

Responsibilities include documenting findings in EHR, communicating with patients, and performing related clerical tasks to support efficient practice operations.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients’ records / files per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certifications: CPO, CPOA, CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Document medical findings in EHR and participate in related clerical duties.
