Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking an Optometric Technician to deliver high-quality eye-care services and support the optometrist during examinations. The role emphasizes patient relations, accurate data entry, and efficient handling of records and equipment.

The candidate should have a High School diploma, strong customer service, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced store environment. Retail/optical experience is preferred; health-care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a smile and maintain a professional image.
• Answer the telephone promptly in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist with eye examinations and prepare patients for testing.
• Review prescriptions and patient information for accuracy and privacy compliance (HIPAA).
• Support retention and scheduling activities, including confirm calls and no-show follow-ups.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and organize the contact lens room.
• Input patient data and services in the CIAO system with accurate fees.
