Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist, such as dilation, topicals, diagnostic medications, Optomap, auto reflector, visual acuity.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
• Schedule referrals and manage doctor’s appointment calendar to maximize efficiency.
• Assist with diagnostic testing using specialized equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry).
• Support front-desk tasks and patient communication, including recall outreach.
