Job summary

Affinity Eye Care is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists and ensure efficient, high‑quality patient care from start to finish. You will conduct pre‑testing, assist with specialty testing, and manage scheduling to optimize the patient experience.

The role requires familiarity with eye care procedures, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. On‑site work and a comprehensive benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topicals, diagnostic meds, Optomap).
• Schedule referral appointments and complete paperwork as needed.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment; coordinate with Optometrist.
