Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists, conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostics, and manage the doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient, high‑quality patient experiences.

Candidates should have experience evaluating patients for eye exams, knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, and industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT). This on‑site role includes benefits and a collaborative, growth‑oriented team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topicals, diagnostic medications, Optomap, auto refractor, visual acuity).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor appointment schedule and ensure efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR; check CPT codes and post-op billings.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment.
