AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists and ensure exceptional patient care. You will conduct pre‑testing, assist with specialty diagnostics, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to deliver efficient, high‑quality experiences from start to finish.

You will perform procedures, document medical findings in the EHR, and coordinate referrals while maintaining HIPAA compliance. This is a full‑time on‑site position in Hopkinton, MA.

Formación

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsabilidades

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist, such as dilation, topicals, diagnostic medications, Optomap, auto refractor, visual acuity.
• Schedule referral appointments with Ophthalmologists or other specialists and complete related paperwork.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medication and treatment from Optometrist referrals as needed.
• Perform diagnostic testing using equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• Maintain Electronic Health Records (EHR) and assist with medical documentation.
