Job summary

VisionWorks in Merrimack, NH is seeking a part-time Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to support patients through onsite and remote eye exams. You will prepare patients, perform pre-testing, and document results in the EMR, while explaining each step of the process to patients.

You will collaborate with Optometrists, assist with remote eye examinations, manage appointments, and help ensure a smooth patient journey from registration to the exam and beyond.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in optical or healthcare.
• Optical/Healthcare background preferred.
• HS diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for on-site or remote exams and perform pre-exam tests.
• Explain testing steps to patients and document results in EMR.
• Assist doctors during eye exams and remote exam workflow.
• Coordinate with retail staff for appointments and patient flow.
• Instruct patients on contact lens care and manage lens orders.
