VisionWorks in Amherst, NH is seeking a part-time Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to prepare patients for on-site and remote examinations, perform pre-exam tests, and guide patients through the process. The role liaises between patients and Optometrists and supports the initial steps of the patient journey.

The position requires one year of related experience, healthcare background preferred, and training will be provided. Expect flexible hours and travel to other locations as needed.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office/business professionalism required.
• Training provided.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and collect medical history and ocular data in EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with eye exams and explain preliminary tests to patients.
• Support remote eye exams including pre-testing, video conferencing, and testing.
• Transition patients to retail staff with doctor recommendations.
• Explain MVC plan benefits and preauthorize insurance as needed.
• Schedule appointments and manage exam books with the team.
• Maintain patient records and hygiene of clinic equipment.
• Instruct patients on contact lens care and manage lens orders.
• Travel to other locations as needed.

Formation

HS diploma/GED or equivalent related job experience
