Job summary

AEG Vision is hiring an Optician on site in Indiana. You will help patients choose eyewear, ensure proper fittings, and provide expert lens dispensing with a strong emphasis on service and accuracy.

You’ll work with technicians and doctors to deliver precise prescriptions, maintain patient records, and educate on insurance, warranties, and care. Part-time roles include benefits and growth opportunities in a collaborative practice.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 1 year as Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA preferred.
• PC skills: MS Office, Windows, word processing.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication, sales experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings.
• Ensure proper frame fit and accurate measurements.
• Enter prescription data into EHR and ALE; ensure docs are attached.
• Handle order status calls and resolve issues with patients.
• Inspect final product for fit, quality, and cleanliness.
• Coordinate with technicians and management as needed.
• Adhere to HIPAA and insurance requirements.
