Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care in a fast-paced practice in Indianapolis, IN. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments that fit their prescriptions, lifestyle, and personal style.

Responsibilities include taking and interpreting prescriptions, entering data into the EHR, communicating with technicians and managers, and ensuring high patient satisfaction with accurate dispensing and timely order status

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge/experience preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and help select eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle and style.
• Interpret prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists.
• Enter prescription data into the EHR/ALE system and follow up on orders.
• Provide exceptional customer service and explain lens and frame options.
• Assist with eyewear adjustments, repairs, and maintenance.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance benefits, copays, and coverage.
