AEG Vision is hiring an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care. You will help patients choose frames, lenses, and coatings, ensuring accurate measurements and proper frame fit. The role emphasizes product knowledge, insurance understanding, and attentive service to build trust and loyalty.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience as an Optician is strongly preferred.
• HIPAA experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Explain insurance benefits, copays, and coverage to patients.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR/ALE system with accurate documentation.
• Provide eyewear adjustments and repairs using appropriate tools.
• Maintain knowledge of products, rebates, lenses, and coatings.
• Deliver exceptional patient experiences and follow up on orders.
