Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to deliver exceptional eyewear solutions and patient care. You will assist patients in choosing frames and lenses, interpret prescriptions, and ensure precise dispensing.

The role emphasizes accuracy, insurance understanding, and high-quality customer service in a fast-paced eye care setting. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains customized recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and specialty products based on lifestyle and prescription.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter information into the EHR and ALE systems.
• Discuss insurance, warranties, and pricing; explain benefits and copays.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice and displays.
• Collaborate with technicians and managers to update patients on order status and resolve issues.
