AEG is hiring an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper measurements, and provide a high level of service while leveraging the latest eyewear products and lens treatments.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• PC skills: MC Office, Windows, Word processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Sales experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Provide complete explanations of customized recommendations for frames, lenses, and services.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR/ALE system and ensure documentation is attached to the chart.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranty, and protection plans.
• Maintain product knowledge on lenses, frames, and insurance benefits.
• Follow up on orders and communicate status to patients and management.
