Job summary

AEG seeks a skilled Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will guide patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories that fit prescription and lifestyle while ensuring accurate measurements and proper lens dispensing.

You will interpret prescriptions, update orders in the EHR/ALE system, and maintain high standards of service and patient satisfaction. Training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• HIPAA requirements experience preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and basic word processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor; sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescription, lifestyle and style.
• Take and interpret prescriptions; explain lens options and frame choices.
• Update and manage patient orders in the EHR/ALE system; communicate status to patients.
• Ensure proper frame fit, measurements, and lens dispensing.
