Job summary

AEG is hiring a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients with frame and lens choices, ensure proper measurements and dispensing, and maintain strong communication throughout the process.

Responsibilities include updating patients on orders, educating on care, warranties, and insurance, and ensuring accurate data entry into the EHR/ALE system. A commitment to quality and patient satisfaction is essential.

Qualifications

• State Licensure is required to practice as an optician.
• High School or GED qualification is needed.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience is essential.
• HIPAA knowledge is a plus.
• Computer skills include MC Office, Windows, and word processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, measurements, and accurate lens dispensing.
• Take and return patient calls; update patients on order status and resolve issues.
• Educate patients on eyeglass care, warranty, and insurance details.
• Enter prescription data into EHR and ALE; ensure documentation is scanned and attached.
