Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care. You will help patients choose frames and lenses, ensure proper fitting, and accurately dispense prescriptions in a fast-paced eye care environment.

You will interpret prescriptions, educate patients on lens options and coatings, and manage orders from intake to completion while maintaining EHR accuracy and excellent service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year of experience as an Optician.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Proficient PC skills including MS Office and Windows.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; customer service-focused.
• Sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses.
• Ensure proper frame fit and accurate measurements.
• Explain lens options, coatings, tints, and treatments.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE and maintain patient charts.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the display and work areas.
