Job summary

AEG Vision in Fond du Lac, WI, is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and top-notch patient care. You will assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits prescriptions, lifestyle, and style, ensuring proper frame fit and accurate lens dispensing.

Emphasis on quality, insurance understanding, and customer service. Responsibilities include entering prescriptions into the EHR/ALE, following up on orders, and maintaining product knowledge across lenses, coatings, and frame

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient PC skills (MS Office, Windows).

Responsibilities

• Provide eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lens types.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR and ALE system.
• Follow up on orders and update patients on status.
• Educate patients on lens treatments, care, warranty, and coverage.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance plans and benefits.
• Communicate with technicians and managers regarding orders.
