Job summary

AEG Vision in Cold Spring, MN is seeking an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings while ensuring proper fit and prescription accuracy.

As part of a team that values leadership, craftsmanship, and ongoing learning, you will manage lens dispensing, educate patients on insurance coverage, and maintain high standards of service throughout the patient journey.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• 1+ year experience as an Optician preferred; HIPAA familiarity helps.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories to fit prescription and lifestyle.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Explain insurance benefits, pricing, and available upgrades to patients.
• Dial in lens and frame options, coatings, and lens treatments; use tools for adjustments.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and up-to-date knowledge of products.
