Job summary

Affinity Eye Care is seeking an Optician who will provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in choosing frames and lenses that fit prescription, lifestyle, and style, ensuring proper measurements and lens dispensing.

The role emphasizes patient satisfaction, accurate order processing in the EHR/ALE, and collaboration with technicians and doctors to deliver quality eyewear and services.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an optician preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales experience preferred.
• Manual dexterity required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert eyewear solutions and patient care.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments.
• Understand insurance benefits and coverage for patients.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE and ensure documentation is complete.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about order status.
• Inspect and adjust eyewear for proper fit and comfort.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranties, and protections.
• Follow up on orders and notify patients of delays or completions.
