Job summary

Affinity Eyecare Group seeks a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site. You will help patients choose frames, lenses, coatings, and accessories while ensuring accurate prescriptions and proper fit.

You will interpret prescriptions, enter data into the EHR and ALE systems, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance benefits, rebates, and product options to deliver a high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• State Licensure required for practice in the relevant state.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements is preferred.
• Proficient PC skills with MS Office and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an extraordinary patient experience with tailored eyewear recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings; confirm prescriptions and fit.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter all data into the EHR and ALE systems.
• Provide order status updates and resolve issues; escalate as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance benefits, copays, and coverage limitations.
