Job summary

AEG is seeking an experienced Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will guide patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories while ensuring accurate measurements and proper dispensing.

The role emphasizes quality, patient satisfaction, and ongoing service. The position includes duties from customer education to ordering, with a focus on insurance knowledge, frame adjustments, and maintaining EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• Proficient PC skills: MS Office, Windows, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories fitting prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Take measurements, ensure proper frame fit, and dispense lenses accurately.
• Educate patients on eyeglass care, warranties, and care plans.
• Enter prescription data into the EHR/ALE system and maintain chart documentation.
• Provide outstanding customer service and build patient rapport.
