Job summary

AEG in Commerce City, Colorado is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper measurements, and dispense eyewear with a focus on quality and satisfaction.

The role emphasizes collaboration with technicians and doctors, knowledge of insurance, and maintenance of up-to-date product knowledge; full-time on-site with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional patient experience with eyewear solutions.
• Assist patients in frame/lens selection based on prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Explain insurance benefits, warranties, and pricing clearly.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE accurately.
• Ensure proper frame fit and accurate measurements.
• Conduct eyewear adjustments and repairs as needed.
• Maintain product knowledge and stay current on lenses, frames, and rebates.
• Escalate issues to management when necessary.
