AEG Vision seeks an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments while ensuring proper fit, measurements, and lens dispensing.

In this role you will interpret prescriptions, work with EHR/ALE systems, and educate customers on insurance benefits, warranties, and promotions. Excellent customer service and attention to detail are essential.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• PC skills including Microsoft Office and Windows.

Responsabilidades

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient. Provides patients with a complete understanding of our customized recommendations for products and services.
• Receive patient handoff from technicians or doctors and establish rapport by asking lifestyle questions to identify visual needs and recommend frames, lenses, and coatings.
• Keeps current on company/industry products and procedures, rebates, and types of lenses and frames.
• Takes and returns patient calls, updates patients on order status and resolves issues; escalates to management as needed.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lens type, and treatments including tints and coatings; based on patient needs and facial measurements.
• Educate patients on eyeglass and contact lens care, warranty, protection plans and replacement options.
• Understand medical and vision insurance plans, eligibility, benefits, copays, deductibles, authorizations, and coverage limitations.
• Interprets prescriptions written by Optometrist and Ophthalmologist; enter into EHR/ALE system with required documentation.
• Follow-up on pending orders and notify patients when eyewear is ready.
• Dispense glasses by inspecting product for proper fit and adjusting as necessary.
• Adjust eyewear to ensure visual acuity and comfort using appropriate tools.
• Communicate with technicians and managers regarding order status and patient information.
• Inspect final product for flaws; clean and polish lenses.
• Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of the practice.
• Answer patient questions regarding insurance, warranty, products, materials, services, pricing, and promotions.
• Performs other duties as needed by manager.
