AEG Vision in United States is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care. You will assist with frame and lens selections, ensure proper measurements, and dispense corrections with a focus on quality and patient satisfaction.

You will maintain knowledge of insurance benefits, coordinate with technicians and doctors, and deliver a seamless experience from fitting to delivery. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required or equivalent.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• PC skills: MS Office, Windows, word processing.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales skills.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional patient experience with personalized product/service recommendations.
• Receive patient handoffs and identify visual needs through lifestyle questions.
• Stay current on products, rebates, lenses, and frame options.
• Handle patient calls, update order status, and resolve issues.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lens types, and coatings.
• Educate patients on care, warranties, and protection plans.
• Explain insurance benefits, copays, and coverage limitations.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter data into EHR/ALE systems.
• Follow up on pending orders and notify patients of delays.
• Dispense glasses and ensure proper fit; adjust as needed.
• Operate pupilometers, PD sticks, lensmeters, and related tools.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about orders and statuses.
• Inspect final products for flaws; clean and polish lenses.
• Maintain clean, organized work/display areas.
• Address product issues and answer questions about insurance, warranties, pricing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
