Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings, while ensuring proper fit and accurate measurements.

Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, entering data into the EHR/ALE, and educating patients about care, warranties, and insurance coverage. This role is full-time and on-site in Camarillo, CA with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA requirements experience preferred.
• Basic PC skills (MC Office, Windows, Word).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories to fit prescription, lifestyle and style.
• Take and interpret prescriptions, ensure proper lens dispensing and fit.
• Enter prescription data into EHR and ALE systems and maintain patient charts.
• Communicate status updates to patients and manage order timelines.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranty, and insurance coverage.
