Job summary

AEG Vision in Ballwin, MO seeks an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and superior patient care. You will help patients choose frames and lenses, ensure proper measurements, and dispense lenses with accuracy while delivering exceptional service.

You will stay up-to-date on products, insurance coverage, and lens technologies, communicate with technicians and doctors, and guide customers through the ordering process from selection to pickup.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year experience as Optician preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• Proficient PC skills (MS Office, Windows).
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer service experience; sales experience preferred.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Deliver extraordinary patient experiences with eyewear solutions.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments.
• Maintain knowledge of products, rebates, and lens types.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE and document charts.
• Follow up on orders and inform patients of delays or readiness.
• Adjust eyewear for proper fit and comfort.
• Educate patients on care, warranties, and insurance coverage.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about order status.
