AEG is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit, and maintain accurate prescription records.

The role emphasizes high-quality service, collaboration with technicians and doctors, and ongoing knowledge of products and insurance concepts within a fast-paced optometry setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year Optician experience preferred.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories.
• Take measurements, ensure proper frame fit and lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription information into EHR/ALE and manage order status.
• Provide patient education on eyewear care and insurance basics.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about orders.
