Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a qualified Optician to join our on-site team in Osage Beach. You will provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care, assisting with frame and lens selection, measurements, and insurance coordination.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and sales skills, with experience in ophthalmic products and HIPAA awareness. ABO/NCLE is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Take and verify measurements for proper frame fit and lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR and ALE systems and attach documentation.
• Explain insurance coverage, warranties, pricing, and replacement options to patients.
• Adjust eyewear for comfort and visual acuity; perform eyewear repairs as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and stay current on products and procedures.
