Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.

You will ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, lens dispensing, and educate patients on care, warranties, and insurance coverage. Prior experience and ABO/NCLE are a plus; high school diploma required; strong customer service and sales skills preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary patient experience with complete eyewear recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and lens treatments based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, rebates, lenses, and frame options.
• Enter prescription information into EHR and ALE systems accurately.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about order status and issues.
• Perform eyewear adjustments and repairs for proper fit and comfort.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranties, and insurance coverage.
• Ensure final product is inspected for quality and cleanliness.
