Job summary

AEG is hiring an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site in Missouri. You will help patients select frames, dispense lenses, and explain insurance and warranty details while maintaining high service standards.

Ideal candidates have up to one year of optician experience, ABO/NCLE is a plus, and strong organizational and communication skills. The role includes patient education and accurate EHR entry.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories fitting prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and lens dispensing with excellent service.
• Provide expert eyewear solutions and education on products and warranty options.
• Update patients on order status and follow up on delays; escalate issues when needed.
• Enter prescription information into EHR/ALE and attach to the patient chart.
• Discuss insurance benefits, copays, and authorizations with patients.
• Inspect final products, adjust for fit and comfort, and ensure visual acuity.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and frame displays.
