Job summary

Associated Eye Care is seeking an Optician to sell eyewear and contact lenses in a fast-paced retail setting. You will greet customers, educate on frame lines and lens options, dispense to prescription, and troubleshoot to meet high service standards.

You will process orders in our practice management system, coordinate with providers, and maintain displays and inventory while upholding warranty policies and daily operation guidelines.

Qualifications

• 6-12 months of experience in a retail optical dispensary, optometry office or ophthalmology clinic preferred.
• 2-4 years of face-to-face customer service in a retail environment required.
• Current American Board of Opticianry Certification preferred or required within 8 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Sell eyewear and contact lenses in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Greet customers and provide knowledgeable service to meet prescription and lifestyle needs.
• Style, dispense and troubleshoot eyewear to highest standards and educate on premium products.
• Inspect eyewear orders to ANSI standards and proper cosmetic quality.
• Process orders in the optical practice management system and coordinate with providers.
• Adjust and repair eyewear; handle warranty replacements and returns.
• Maintain displays and keep up-to-date procedural manuals; participate in meetings.
