Job summary

Vision Associates is seeking a full-time optical associate to provide exceptional patient experiences through eyewear selection, measurements, and precise fitting. You will help establish the practice as the premier destination for eye care in the community.

Responsibilities include guiding patients, recording measurements, operating the POS system, and collaborating with doctors and staff to ensure high-quality service and accurate dispensing. Weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Active state optical licensure; must maintain license.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Sales skills and comfort with new technology.

Responsibilities

• Custom fits glasses and accurately places prescription in lenses.
• Leads with strong optical knowledge and supports peers.
• Takes and records measurements; ensures eyewear meets standards and patient needs.
• Asks open-ended questions to understand patient needs and preferences.
• Operates POS and inputs patient information with precision.
