Job summary

Affinity Eye Care in the United States seeks an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist with frame and lens selection, ensure proper fitting, and provide comprehensive patient service.

Role requires strong communication, sales ability, and attention to detail. On-site, full-time position with benefits and ongoing professional development. EOE.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor; sales experience preferred.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient; explains our customized recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lens options based on lifestyle and prescription.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on products, rebates, lenses, and frames.
• Enter prescriptions into EHR/ALE system and track orders.
• Explain insurance benefits and coverage to patients.
• Dispense glasses with proper fit and adjustments; ensure patient comfort.
• Provide eyewear care education and warranty information.
• Collaborate with technicians and managers to resolve issues.
