Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care in Lititz, PA. You will assist patients with frame and lens selection, ensure proper measurements, and communicate clearly to deliver a great patient experience.

As part of our team, you will stay current on product options, warranty details, and insurance coverage while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service. This full-time position emphasizes quality care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains customized recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments including fittings and measurements.
• Keep current on products, rebates, and lens/frame options.
• Enter prescriptions into the EHR/ALE system and attach documentation.
• Follow-up on orders, inform patients of status and delays.
• Dispense glasses, check fit, adjust as needed and seek feedback.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers on order status and issues.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces and displays.
