Job summary

Affinity Eye Care in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit, take measurements, and explain lens options and warranty coverage.

The role emphasizes accurate dispensing, insurance understanding, and collaboration with technicians and doctors to deliver a seamless patient experience. Previous optician experience and ABO/NCLE are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Experience delivering outstanding patient service in eyewear retail or clinics.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescription and lifestyle.
• Ensure proper frame fit, take accurate measurements, and dispense lenses.
• Provide exceptional customer service and explain lens options, coatings, and warranty coverage.
• Maintain knowledge of insurances, eligibility, copays, and authorizations.
• Collaborate with technicians and doctors to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Educate patients on eyeglass and contact lens care and warranty options.
