Job summary

Affinity Eye Care is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments, ensuring proper fit and accurate dispensing while delivering outstanding service.

You will relay insurance details, educate on warranties, and manage orders from intake to completion, maintaining accurate records in the EHR system.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories fitting prescription, lifestyle and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Explain products and services, including insurance coverage and warranties.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE system and maintain patient charts.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about order status and updates.
