Job summary

AEG, located on-site in Denver, seeks an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and patient care. You will assist patients in frame and lens selections, ensure proper fit, and dispense lenses with accuracy and customer service excellence.

You will interpret prescriptions, enter data into EHR/ALE, and maintain warranty and insurance knowledge while staying current on products. Full-time, with competitive hourly pay and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.
• Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient with customized recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments fitting lifestyle and prescription.
• Keep current on products, procedures, rebates, and lens/frame options.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE and attach required documentation.
• Provide eyewear adjustments and repairs to ensure fit and comfort.
• Explain insurance coverage, warranties, and payment options to patients.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about orders and statuses.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice environment.
