Job summary

Nationwide Vision in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience by dispensing glasses and contacts, fitting frames, and supporting patients’ medical needs.

You will work with optometrists and ophthalmologists, measure PDs, educate on lenses and coatings, process orders in E360, and maintain orderly, stocked workstations while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office or ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year customer/patient interaction experience.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses.
• Operate auto-lensometer and lensometer.
• Educate on lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs.
• Take measurements (PD, bridge, eye size, etc.).
• Dispense glasses and contacts; assist with orders in E360.
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness; follow protocols.
• Assist with other duties as needed.
