Nationwide Vision in Tucson seeks an Optical Technician to dispense glasses and contacts, assist patients in frame selection, and support clinicians with lens measurements and fittings. You will operate lensometry equipment and ensure accurate orders in our system.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance forms.
• HIPAA compliance is required for all associates.
• Must provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style and measurements.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs.
• Accurately collect measurements such as bridge size, pupillary distance and pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders and maintain frame inventory.
