Job summary

United Health Centers is seeking an Optical Technician to assist our optometrist in a busy health center. You will support eyewear fitting, order lenses, educate patients on lens choices, and explain insurance coverage. High school diploma required; CPR certification preferred; optician license is a plus.

Bilingual abilities welcome. The role emphasizes patient comfort, accuracy, and strong teamwork with the optometry director and lead optician, with a Monday–Friday schedule and comprehensive

Qualifications

High school graduation or GED.
Preferred optical experience or optician license.
CPR certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt optical support and maintain smooth patient flow.
Educate patients on lens and frame choices and insurance benefits.
Maintain optical inventory and restock glasses as needed.
Communicate clearly with supervisors and staff and work flexible hours.
Assist with fitting, ordering, and dispensing eyeglasses or contacts as directed by the optometrist.
