EyeCare Partners Career Opportunities seeks an Optical Technician to dispense glasses and contacts, fit frames, and support patients’ medical needs. You will work from prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists, connecting patient needs to available eye care products and services.

The role emphasizes delivering a world-class total patient experience, assisting with frame selection, and ensuring accurate measurements and lens fittings in a clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Favorable result on background check as required by state.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Total Patient Experience and build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and facial measurements; coordinate with prescriptions.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens orders; educate on lenses and coatings.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to fit patient needs.
• Take and record measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, PD, pantoscopic tilt).
• Dispense patient orders and repair/adjust frames as needed.
