Job summary

EyeCare Associates, Inc. is seeking an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience while maximizing retail sales and supporting patients' medical needs.

This role dispenses and fits glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, connecting patient needs to available goods and services. The successful candidate will use the auto-lensometer and lensometer, assist with frame selection, and ensure precise measurements and high-quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO and NCLE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embrace the Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Determine patient wants and needs and sell to exceed expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, coordinating frames with facial and eye measurements and prescriptions.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs.
• Collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense patient orders and repair/adjust frames.
• Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens orders.
