Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts from ophthalmologists' prescriptions, delivering a world-class patient experience while supporting retail sales in a clinical setting.

You will assist patients in frame selection, measure facial dimensions, operate lensometers, and educate on lenses and coatings. A high school diploma and 1 year of customer-facing work are required; ABO/NCLE certifications are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing experience in a medical setting.
• Ophthalmic/optical office experience preferred but not required.
• Favorable background check as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and measurements.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate on lenses, coatings, and frames to match needs.
• Collect measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, etc.).
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust frames.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders.
