Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician (Optician) in Farmington, MO to dispense and fit glasses and contacts from prescriptions and connect patient needs to products we offer.

You will contribute to a world-class Total Patient Experience, maintain clean, well-presented frames, take precise measurements, and educate patients on lenses and coatings. Strong communication and HIPAA compliance are essential; ABO/ABOC and NCLE certifications are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in customer/patient interaction or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience while providing medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and measurements.
• Operate eye-measurement tools and educate on lenses and coatings.
• Take measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, pupillary distance).
• Dispense glasses/contacts and manage orders in the system.
• Maintain frame inventory and assist with in-office duties.
