Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician (Optician) in Eureka, MO. The role focuses on dispensing and fitting glasses and contacts from prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists, and supporting the Total Patient Experience.

Responsibilities include guiding patients to choose frames, taking precise measurements, operating lensometry equipment, and maintaining organized, stocked eyewear displays. Training is available; prior eyewear experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in a customer/patient-facing role.
• Ophthalmic experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on prescriptions.
• Operate lensometry equipment and dispense glasses/contacts.
• Maintain accurate frame inventory and cleanliness of the work area.
• Provide accurate measurements (e.g., PD, bridge, eye size).
• Follow protocols and complete general office duties as assigned.
