Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Supervisor to join our in-house optical team. Youll lead the opticians and retail advisors, open/close procedures, and foster a positive store culture while delivering exceptional eyewear experiences.

This role blends hands-on optical work with leadership in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate holds an active dispensing optician license (ABO certified preferred), 2+ years in supervision, and a passion for eyewear.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician or ABO-certified as required by state.
• 2+ years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, professional communicator who explains terms simply.
• Detail-oriented, resilient, and collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead optical duties: assist customers, take measurements, fit eyewear with accuracy, and ensure standards.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Set store up for success daily by executing operational procedures to Warby Parker standards.
• Drive store vision and sales through outstanding service and on-floor leadership.
• Mentor Optical team and maintain store systems, inventory, and operations.
• Foster a productive, positive employee culture.
